Section One Postseason Scheduling Notice

To help minimize the loss of instructional time, Section One may schedule sectional and NYSPHSAA regional contests in the evening, early afternoon, or on weekends, including Sundays.

All postseason contests must be played on the dates established in the official tournament calendar. While participating schools may be able to mutually agree upon start times in some rounds of postseason play, Section One Championship events have predetermined dates and times that cannot be changed.

Postseason schedules may occasionally conflict with SAT/ACT exams, school-sponsored activities, non-interscholastic athletic competitions, or days of religious observance. Due to the complexity of tournament scheduling, Section One may not be able to accommodate all individual conflicts.
