District Mission and Literacy Focus
The North Rockland Central School District’s mission is to develop our students’ literacy skills so that they are Analytical Readers. We do this by implementing a research-based Kindergarten through 12th grade literacy system, rooted in the Science of Reading, that ensures all students can access complex texts, communicate effectively in writing, and meet the demands of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards through excellent teaching practices.
