Karina Mancini
Physical Education Teacher, TES

A North Rockland graduate from the Class of 2013, Karina Mancini earned a Bachelor or Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Montclair State University after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2014-2019. Ms. Mancini began her teaching career as a physical education teacher at Bronx Arts and Science Charter School before returning to North Rockland last year as a permanent substitute at West Haverstraw Elementary. She also coached girls softball at North Rockland High School, along with girls freshman soccer at Northern Highlands High School and youth soccer with the NJ Crush.

Now, she’s returning to the same school where she once walked the halls as a student, this time as an educator. Karina is looking forward to creating a classroom where students feel confident, supported and excited to learn while giving them the same sense of connection and belonging she experienced growing up in North Rockland. For her, it’s a true full-circle moment.
