Introducing Police Officer Danny DeLaCruz—the newest SRO for Haverstraw Elementary, West Haverstraw Elementary, and Neary Elementary Schools!
Officer DeLaCruz brings over eight years of law enforcement experience to North Rockland, including three years with the Haverstraw Police Department. He’s no stranger to our community, having graduated from NRHS in 1999, where he played four years of basketball and built friendships that have stood the test of time.
As a lifelong resident and proud North Rockland alum, Officer DeLaCruz appreciates the strength of our close-knit community, where people always look out for one another. This unique bond is part of what inspired him to become an SRO. “I wanted to build positive relationships with the students and staff here,” he shared, reflecting on the role that community support plays in his own life.
This school year, Officer DeLaCruz is excited to connect with students, serve as a positive role model, and deepen the ties between our schools and the community. He’s looking forward to supporting everyone and continuing the North Rockland tradition of helping one another thrive.
