Exploring Life After High School: NRHS Students Visit Local Colleges

As part of Raider Ready Day, North Rockland High School sophomores collectively visited 22 local colleges to explore life after high school. The visits gave students valuable insight into campus life, academics, athletics, dorm experiences, and other aspects of college, helping them begin planning for their future paths after NRHS.

During the event, students had the opportunity to meet with college presidents, admissions teams, and student ambassadors, who answered questions and led campus tours. Colleges visited included Mount St. Vincent University, The Culinary Institute of America, Manhattan University, The City College of New York, Baruch College, Mount St. Mary College, Lehman College, The Cooper Union, Marist University, SUNY New Paltz, Dominican University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Ramapo College of New Jersey, William Paterson University of New Jersey, Pace University, St. Thomas Aquinas College and Sacred Heart University.

Starting college exploration at this stage provides students with valuable experience, allowing them to make informed decisions and plan ahead as they consider their options beyond high school.
