Mid-Hudson School Study Council Award Ceremony
The MHSSC is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving education across the Mid-Hudson Valley through collaboration, innovation and community engagement.
Dr. Kris Felicello, Superintendent of North Rockland Central School District and Vice President of MHSSC, had the honor of presenting the awards to these remarkable individuals for their impact on the NRCSD:
𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘀, Stony Point Elementary teacher, received the 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for over 50 years of inspiring generations of students with warmth, creativity and compassion.
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼, Farley Elementary teacher, received the 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for 33 years of service and for establishing a school-based food pantry that supports families in need.
𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇, NRCSD Board of Education member, was presented with the 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 in recognition of his decade of leadership, tireless volunteerism and unwavering commitment to student success.
𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻, leader of the Stony Point Seals, was honored with the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for his extraordinary efforts in raising funds for local children and fostering unity through acts of service.
